Meet Katie
I loved my job as a teacher and librarian. I honestly thought I would retire within the public education system. As I started noticing the patterns of kids facing huge gaps in their learning and the joy I once knew started fading. My family was also growing and I didn’t have the flexibility that I needed.
I’m the kind of person who has to believe in what I’m doing and feel passionate. When I learned about how Gideon helps the kids who need it most fill the gaps I realized that it was something that I could see myself doing. I was so sad to leave education because I thought I wouldn’t be able to help kids. Now I help kids in different ways in different settings.
The growth I see in my students gets me excited to go to work every day. In a short amount of time with Gideon’s system, I’m able to see kids grow more confident and capable in their education. Seeing the kids excited makes me excited.
My quality of life has improved greatly as I’m able to be with my family and fulfill my calling in education. I’m so excited to get to know more kids and impact their success and love for education.
